Test your smoke detector batteries once a month by pressing the test button.

Replace the smoke detector batteries once a year. Replace the smoke detector itself every ten years.

Be sure everyone in your house knows how to use the fire extinguishers. Remember PASS—“Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep”
