“It’s time for us to take the valley’s
preparation to another level that
gets the public more involved.”
First District Supervisor Steve Bennett

Attention, residents of the Ojai Valley! The message from all public
authorities is the same: our survival is up to us. The time has come
to get ready, or else!

How? Start by reading this site. The information contained within
could end up saving you, your family, your neighbors, or your home.
Read it for the sake of our community.

Unlike most disaster preparedness websites, this one was put together
by teens, so it is readable and fun. Plus, it is customized just for our
valley. Find out what to do "Ahead of Time", where you will find a list of
the must-have survival tools for three days on your own in Ojai
or learn
the top things to know and do before any emergency in "Disaster 101".
There are also "Links" to national, state, and local disaster prepardness
resources

Disasters are coming, and we have no way of knowing how soon.
We could easily find ourselves on our own without outside help
for at least 2-3 days.

It’s up to each of us to get ready, or else. So hop to it.
